Is Echotexture Is Heterogeneous,endometrium Is Central With Normal Thickness Sign Of Menorrhagia?
hi doc, my mom has been suffering from menorrhagia since the past 3 years and she is also having join pain since past 2 years ..Is it arthirities too.. doc says its polyarthirities .what are the tests to confirm it? test results TSH=5.52 CBC haemoglobin : 9 PCV:30.3 L MCV: 64L MCH: 19.2L platelet countt: 520 H Differential count Neutrophils: 81H Lymphocytes:12 L Monocytes:1 L Eosinophills: 6 Basophils:00 uretus--bulky(10 cm in length),echotexture is heterogenous,endometrium is central with normal thickness(5.6mm) cervix is normal in thickness PLZ suggest is it menorrhagia or not..

Based on the scan and other findings, my opinion is
1. Scan findings of heterogeneous means probably adenomyotic foci is present which can be causing menorrhagia. Adenomyosis is one of the commonest causes of menorrhagia after fibroid uterus.
2. Because of excess bleeding she is anemic which is reflected by low hemoglobin and related parameters.
3. There are a battery of tests for poly arthritis which you can discuss with her consulting doctor.
To name a few test for ANA, rheumatoid factor needs to be done.
