Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i am told by the doctor whom I saw yesterday to increase my Metoprolol from 2 pills to 4 pills daily and take all 4 pills after breakfast (100mg to 200mg daily). I was taking 2 pills (50 mg/ea) daily for years - one in the morning and one in the evening. Your opinion please!
200 mg metoprolol is a safe maintenance dose. Please take the medication as prescribed. Keep a close watch for development of symptoms of hypotension like dizziness, increased heart rate etc.
Hope this answers your questions Please address further questions here Regards Dr.Lekshmi
