Is Diarrhea, Chills And Nauses With High Blood Sugar Levels Dangerous?

Thursday my husband(55) had blood sugars as high as 481 and I got them down to 140 by 8pm that night. after working in the heat Wednesday and becoming dehydrated. Every since then he has had diarhia, chills, throwing up, food tastes funny and sugar was 247 last time I checked. Should I take him to a Dr or hospital. He s been diabetic for 15 years and had bypass surgery.

Diabetologist 's  Response
Looks like your husband is suffering for acute gastroenteritis. Please take him to a doctor for personal examination and treatment. During infections sugars are bound to fluctuate which you may find it difficult to handle. It is safe for you and your husband to be under personal care of a diabetologist.
Wishing him a speedy recovery
