I m going on 3 months without my period, it s always regular & on time, this never happened before. I had an appointment on Friday the 10th & it came back negative, but they referred me to see a gynecologist. It s stressing me out because I do have pregnancy symptoms, Is it possible I could be pregnant?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Delay in periods is one of the symptoms to suspect pregnancy when you are sexually active. However, the associated symptoms like nausea and vomiting would start by 3 months following missing of periods.
You can test for pregnancy in urine sample a week after missing periods and it would be positive in most cases if you are pregnant.
In your case, as there are no other symptoms of pregnancy, it could be due to hormonal imbalance.
Hence, it is advisable to undergo clinical examination by Gynecologist and get investigated by means of certain tests what would be suggested, which will help to diagnose the cause. Accordingly, it could be treated.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
