Is Cyst In Liver With Elevated Blood Levels In Pancreas Concerning?

I had severe pain in my stomache for twenty four hours, it was in my right side in the pit of my stomache and in my back, my gall bladder is out, I went for a cats scan and it showed a cysts on my liver,. I also have yellow bloddy stools at times, I have been having this pain for a couple of years, I have to go for a mri next week to get a better look at the cyst on the liver. my blood word shows elevated numbers for the pancreas, I am fatiqed and eating a light diet for the last four days, should I be concered, thank you Nancy

Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

No at this point. Liver surgery is my field of interest and this looks to me like benign cystic disorder of liver with possible effect on pancreas. But additional tests are require in first case to rule out malignancy and biliary stones in common bile duct or in pancreatic duct. If there are no such pathologies then you may considerd laparoscopic management of liver cysts if these are proved to be cause of your symptoms. Usually cysts that are larger than 10cm may require surgical treatment. Your fatigue and stool colour may be related to liver but also may indicate certain colon issues so colonoscopy may be considered.
