Is Cortisone Containing Inhaler Safe To Use During Cough?

I have had an irritating cough for the past 4 days and subsequently I have lost my voice. To stop the cough I have used an inhaler that contains cortisone. I'm not sure if the use of an inhaler containing cortisone is a good idea but it seems to cause a reduction in the coughing.

Thank you

Hi, it is not uncommon to use a steroid inhaler and the use is perfectly safe if it is used in consultation with a doctor. Inhalers are a very effective and safe way of treating allergic bronchitis and are perfectly safe with newer steroids having very limited systemic absorption. Regards
