Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello I am a 44 year old female taking a birth control pill (Aubra Levonorgestrel and Ethinyl Estradiol tablets USP, 0.1mg/0.02mg) for about year now continuously so that I do not get a monthly period. Both gyns at the planned parenthood that I go to have told me this is safe...however I have a friend who works for a homeopathic physician that has now scared me, and is telling me that I need a monthly period to shed the uterine lining. I had done my own research prior to doing this as well as consulted with the other gyn s but I would like another opinion, just in case. Thank you so much for your response, Tracyann
