Is Continued Spotting Normal After Having Ablation Along With A Novasure?
I had an ablation along with a novasure (sp?) one year ago this month. Yesterday I started spotting and continue to for the second day. Should I be concerned that something is wrong or will I have to accept that I will continue having a period again? Also can I repeat the procedure of an ablation again, or would I have to have an hysterectomy if I no long want to have a period. I'm 49 yrs old with no health issues or concerns just had heavy periods and no long wanted to have kids or a period.

Hi,
usually ablation is intended to burn d entire endometrial layer so as to avoid further growth of endometrium and thereby further bleeding. Spotting p/v may be due to some part improperly ablated or might be an indication of new pathology.
i would suggest you to go for removal of novasure nd then rule out malignancy. Hysterectomy may rarely be needed.
