Is Chlamydial Infection Symptomatic With Burning Urination?

I have had unprotected sex recently. I have a burning sensation while urinaring and a sticky pus like fluid oozing out. Is this a chlamydia infection? A doctor friend has suggested I take cifran 500 twice a day for 1 week to cure the chlamydia infection- is this correct?

Welcome to healthcaremagic.com. Good day, yes this most likely is Chlamydia infection, however, I would suggest testing and treatment for gonorrhea too as the two lurk together. Chlamydiae is classically with the burning, the sticky pus though could be gonorrhea. I hope this answers your question. Good luck and feel free to direct more questions to me.
