Is Chest Pressure And Acid Reflux Related To Heart Disease?

I ve been having chest/back pressure for a while now. I have a history of acid reflux. No other symptoms like shortness or breath or dizziness. I m 33, on meds for BP. Cholesterol is elevated, but am working to bring it down. No family history of heart disease. What are chances it s heart related?

Acid reflux or hyper-acidity has no relation with heart disease.
Many a time symptoms of having cardiac problems are similar to acid reflux symptoms.
At this time one should not take any risk and should go for EKG to rule out cardiac ailment.
Let it be 90 % of acid reflux but we should not miss 10 % of heart problem.
If we miss this 10 % of cardiac symptoms, it may create big problem.
In your case your symptoms might be due to acid reflux but as you are having blood pressure and high cholesterol, get EKG done and rule out any cardiac ailment.
