Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic

The active ingredient present in these is 'Isotretinoin', which is an effective antiacne drug, however, it has no effect whatsoever on pits or acne scaring.

Isotretinoin is used mainly for severe acne Or even moderate acne that is severely impacting on the quality of life of the patient Or acne resistant to traditional antiacne medications.

It is effective on account of its sebostatic actions (decreases sebum production), antiinflammatory and antibacterial actions.

However, it should always be taken under the supervision of a doctor because the recommendation is to monitor for blood tests (of liver and serum lipid levels) while on therapy with isotretinoin.

I would suggest you to take it if your dermatologist feels it is necessary and follow up with your dermatologist at regular intervals.

Regards
