Is Bump And Skin Tag On Vagina Sign Of HPV?

I had a bump on the bottom part of my vagina. It was white and had a white cover over it. I saw two Drs about it, the first Dr saw it a couple of days after I noticed it, he told me that it was just an injured area almost like torn but he said that my vaginal skin around the bump was slightly red but that it looked like it was healing. He called it a skin tag that developed due to a tear. I explained that I was itchy all over like I had a yeast infection before I noticed it. He was pretty convinced. Now three weeks later I still had this skin tag, although it looked like it was going away, that s when I saw the second Dr about it, she said that it was a wart, but she thought that it was interesting that I did not have any other warts. Three days after I saw the second Dr the skin tag disappeared. The whole time this white coat covered the skin tag, the white coat could easily be taken off. Neither dr tested for HPV, but the second dr said that my pap smear will show the HPV, but i never got a call about my results, and I was told if I am positive I would get a call. Who should I believe?

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.

Healing injury might leave a bump that might disappeared after a total healing. A wart usually would not wither within days spontaneously. Removable white coating might be due to yeast infection. PAP smear showed HPV positive not necessarily related to your present healing bump and could be due to some past event.
