Is Brownish Vaginal Discharge A Sign Of Cancer In A Breast Cancer Survivor?

I have been to the doctor and just had a biopsy on my vaginal area.... nothing shows, however, I do have a brownish tinged discharge. Could this be from the cervix? I m thinking cancer. Should I have a hysterectomy? I am 64 years old and well... a breast cancer survivor and really don t want to take any chances.

Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. I understand your concerns.
This is not sign of cancer and I dont agree that you should undergo hysterctomy if there is no any sign of cancer. Brown discharge may be caused by infections or may not be sign of anything pathological at all. YOu can have frequent follow ups by your gynecologist and it will be fine and you will detect cancer on time if it develops. I really dont think you should have hysterectomy just as a measure of prevention.
I hope I have answered you query
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
