Hello,

Thank you for using HCM,

I read your question and understand your concern.

Chronic Bronchitis is not a contagious problem. Though, it gets acute sometimes, when the immunity decreases, or when you get viral infections from other people.

Your son will get viral infections during his life, and the guesses of them becoming chronic will depend on the job he will do during his life, if he will be smoking, if he will neglect himself and not treat the infections well. For sure, the infections wont get chronic in him, because you will transfer it to him.

Hope this is helpful.
Let me know if you have other questions or need more clarifications.

Take care
