Is Breathlessness Related To Umbilical Hernia?

I am 33 years old and have umbilical hernia. After 3 or 4 days ago, i m always awake between 3 to 5 in the morning because of shortness of breath and wheezing. Is this breathlessness related to my umbilical hernia. As from the doctor they said my hernia is small in size.. or is this breathlessness is a symptom of other disease. Daytime i have no trouble breathing at all.

Hello, my name is Dr Olgeta Xhufka. I understand your concern. I don't think the breathlessness is related to umbilical hernia. The most important complication of hernia is its incarceration.
