Is Bloody Nose After An Accident A Serious Concern?

i was in a car collision (car going on 70 miles/hour, skided. and hit 3 trees and came to full stop). Car was total, however, I do not have any visible injury. Is a feeling of bloody nose and tangling in the shoulder is a worrisom sign...should I check with doctor?

Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding bloody nose after collision of car with a high speed. Here I would like to say these types of injuries are always internal and are caused by trauma due to INERTIA, as in such accidents your movement suddenly drops from 70 mile / hour to zero. this sudden loss of speed leads to internal collision of organs and which results in various forms one of them is nose bleed.

You may waite for 24 hours if every thing remain O.K. than it supposed your internal injuries had been recovered, but if you develop headache, vertigo, disturbed sleep and nasal obstruction than consultation with ENT doctor will become necessary.

Regards.
