Is Blood In Stool Normal After Medical Abortion?

I had a medical abortion about a week ago, and I was having some heavy bleeding for two days but eventually the bleeding went away and became this light brown color to yellow (sometimes) I still have cramps - and today i saw some blood attached to my stool....should i be worried or is this normal due to my abortion?

Hello,
Blood in stool cannot be due to the abortion or the medication used; it is unrelated. Possibilities are some tears in and around the anal region due to passage of hard stool leading to fissures which tend to bleed or some infection or bleeding hemorrhoids. Please consult a physician or surgeon for a local exam if the bleeding is persistent, if pain is associated or if the bleeding is severe. Before everything, make sure it is not an artefact, the menstrual blood staining the stool. Hope you find this information useful. Wish you good health.
