Is Bleeding A Week After Surgical Abortion Normal?

Hi. I had a surgical abortion on the 15th of march. I bled heavily with cramps and abdominal pain and also big clots for 12 days. The bleeding stopped on the 12th day and after one week, the bleeding is back again with clots but without cramps. Pls is this normal?

Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Bleeding after one week of surgical evacuation is not normal, and can be due retained products of conception in the uterine cavity.
I suggest you to get a ultrasound done and get further management accordingly.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
