Is Black And Blue Discoloration On Wrist After An Elbow Fracture, A Serious Condition?

I fell and fractured by elbow. Saw a surgeon today who has arranged for surgery on Monday. In the interim, I have a soft cast and sling. Since that was put on, the black & blueing has continued down past my writst. Should I be concerned? thank you

Yes, it can be serious. Are you feeling that cast is tight. If yes then go and get it removed. If plaster is not tight and you are moving fingers without pain then there is nothing to be worried. Just keep your finger moving. This will speed up the recovery.
