Is Big Knot And Painful Ankle After Being Hit On Ankle Concerning?

My 10 yr old son was hit in the ankle while up to bat at baseball practice a couple of weeks ago . He had a nice bruise and a knot from it. That had just started to go away and today he was running at school and fell on the same ankle on the concrete. He has a big knot now, but is not in a whole lot of pain. Should I be overly concerned?

Good evening sir,
I understand your concern, generally such swellings subside within few days leaving a black or blue patch on skin. Since you son has injured himself again, I would advice you to consult an Orthopeadic surgeon nearby you, mean while you can use ice application for today, this should releave the pain for a while and will stop the swelling from growing farther.
thank you
