Is Beta Blocker The Only Remedy For Premature Atrial Contractions?

Hello, I am a 28 year old male. I have been having premature atrial contractions for a few months now. Cardiologist did a full workup on me and said it is not serious and I am just one of the unlucky ones who gets to feel them. I was wondering if there is anything I can take besides a beta-blocker that can help this. Your feed back is much appreciated!

Hello welcome to HCM followup ature atrial contractions or impulses are most common and most benign type of rhythm disturbances. So, don't bother much about that disease. My advice to you is-
1.You haven't mentioned that holter study(24 hrs ecg record) has been done or not. If not done then do it to confirm that you don't have any dangerous rhythm disturbances.
2 . Usually Premature atrial contractions doesn't require any treatment not even beta blocker if you have no symptoms.. If you have palpitations then low dose beta blockers are the drug of choice. Other drugs are available but they are used in more serious rhythm disturbances.
3.Do regular exercise, yoga and meditation.
At least 1 yearly followup to cardiologist is required.
Thank you
