Is Being In The Sun Dangerous For An HIV Positive Person?

Hey, I am HIV pos, have not yet started combination therapy. I live in Greece where summer has arrived, I enjoy spending time in the sun and beach but at times recently have started feeling week, should I be spending time in the sun......I have been positive for eight years... Many thanks and look forward to an answer......all the best

actually there is no relation between spending time in the sun and harbouring HIV. HIV medication is started after checking parameters like the CD4 count and other general conditions. neither is weakness a hindrance to spending time in the sun.
my suggestion would be to have a check up at your family physician. a complete blood count should also be done along with the regular CD4 counts. in the meantime you are free to enjoy the summer!
