Is Being Hostile, Aggressive And Depressed With Thoughts Of Suicide, Side Effects Of Chantix?

my husband took chantix for a substantial amount of time. His personality totally changed. He used to be a great guy. He became hostile, aggressive, depressed, thoughts of suicide. His migraine headaches came back. He stopped taking chantix, That was about 3 to 4 months ago. He is starting to do better. Will all these side effects ever go away totally?

Hello,

I understand your concern. Yes, what you are describing ARE known side effects of Chantix and your husband should immediately stop taking this medication and see a doctor, as soon as possible. These are serious side effects!!
Also, please make sure your husband does not consume any alcohol because combination of chantix with alcohol is potentially dangerous.

I hope this helps.

Wishing you all the best.
