Hi welcome to hcm
I understand your query and concern.
Carotid endarterectomy is an invasive ,difficult and needs anaesthesia used in treatment of >75% blockage and >75 years age group.Carotid angioplasty is a trending, advancing, non invasive procedure with less hospitalisation and mild sedation. The outcome of both procedures being almost same.He needs to take Anti platelet drugs like Clopilet and ecosprin daily post procedures for good outcome. So do not worry.Angioplasty is non invasive procedure and you can go with that procedure. But anyways leave the decision to your treating doctor.Monitor his blood pressure, heart rate regularly.Avoid stress and anxiety.Consult your surgeon for expert management.
Post your further queries if any,
Thank you.
