Brief Answer:
It's use can be continued.

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Wellcome to Health Care Magic.
My name is Dr Muhammad Ahmad & i will look into your problem.

I have gone through your query and would try to help you in the best possible way.

It's Always a pleasure when i get questions from people concerned about their health and what meds are being used on them.

Coming to your question about Nuforce lotion, yes you read it correct, it is used as a remedy for dandruff in most of the cases but in here let me tell you the reason why it is used as an anti dandruff. For that we have to know the cause of dandruff.

Cause of dandruff:
Fungus and Seborrhoeic dermatitis are the culprit in 80% of cases of dandruff .
And NUforce Lotion is an ANTI-FINGAL , plus it also aids in treatment of Seborrhoeic dermatitis so it is used as a treatment of dandruff. But one thing to remember here is that, with few differences,SCALP is nothing but SKIN,same as the skin covering your back and other parts of body, and if fungus can affect scalp, it can affect skin overlying other parts of body as well like your back belly legs etc.
In my opinion your physician found clues that those white patches were caused by some sort of skin fungus so you were prescribed Nuforce lotion(for its antifungal properties).

Conlcluion:

(1)Can you use it on back :
Yes you can(if you dont get any allergy or burning).

(2)Should you continue?:
Yes in my opinion you should continue it for a time period suggested by your physician.

(3)Should you go back to physician:
It's always encouraged to be in contact with your doctor when ever you feel a need,in my opinion use it till prescibed date, then follow up with your doctor and discuss results of it's use i-e,improvement or no improvement.

(4)Dermatologist:
At your follow up visit you can also discuss option of visiting a dermatologist, with your GP.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!
