Is An Amniocentesis Test Compulsory During Pregnancy?

I am 31 years old . Now I am 15 weeks pregnant. I have done my first trimester combine screening test at 13 weeks..My ultrasound report is OK but my t21 ratio is 1:153.... My doctor suggest me to do amniocentesis test but there is a minimum chance of miscarriage...I am so scared to do that test.. Is it really important to do that test in this result?

Hi, I think you should go for amniocentesis. There is a 2 to 3 percent risk of miscarriages. It is necessary because you have a high risk of downs syndrome. You will have to rule it out before continuing the pregnancy.
