Is A Stuck Cotton Swab In The Ear Harmful?

Was pretty sure I got a chunk off the end of a cotton swab stuck in my ear this morning. Went to local clinic and four separate caregivers said they couldn t see anything for sure. Still a little uneasy and wondering if I should go to urgent care for another opinion tonight, or tomorrow. What are the risks here?

A stuck cotton swab would predispose to infection. Our ear is very sensitive it might be possible that you have caused minute injury by roughly cleaning by cotton swab causing uneasiness in ear. Ear needs to be fully examined by otoscope which visualizes ear fully. Ear, nose & throat (ENT) specialist usually keep otoscope. So consult an ENT specialist so that he/she can fully examine your ear and pull out cotton swab if stuck inside your ear.
I hope this will help you. We will be happy if you ask another question.
Thanks
