Is A Painful Lymph Node On Right Side Of Neck Suggestive Of Lymphoma?
My fiance went to the ER one week ago due to a tender lump on his right eyebrow accompanied by a swollen lymph node on the right side of his neck. The doctor told him it was likely caused by an insect bite and his wbc count was normal. Since then, the lump has gotten larger and his entire eyelid is now puffy. The pain radiates from the back of his head down the right side of his face and to his neck. The lymph node is also still enlarged. Could he have been misdiagnosed and could this possibly be lymphoma even though his wbc count was normal? Also, his sister died due to lymphoma so could this be something hereditary?
