Is A Knee Sleeve Helpful In Curing Pain Of A Swollen Right Knee?

I am a 52-year-old woman with knee pain and swelling in my right knee. It occurs when it is cold. I use ice packs and aleve. I fell on the ice two years ago on that knee. I have no issues with the left knee. The pain and swelling are on the left side (if I am looking down). Should I wear a knee sleeve? Thank you!
