Is A Contraceptive Pill Taken After Unprotected Intercourse Safe?

Dear Doctor, Yesterday,me and my girlfriend had unprotected sex.I am not sure about i came out of her in time or not.So we are planing of taking a contraceptive pill(i-pill) pill.our age is between 21 and 22.This is the first time we are facing this problem.So we need a advice about which pill to take and how to take it.What would you advice us on this problem.Please reply as soon as possible as we are going thtough a lot of tension. Hi.

Use plan B or ipill as per the given instructions on the box, and it is best taken from 0-24 hours with a effectivity of about 98%, if taken within 24-48 hours it has an effectivity of about 85%, and from 48-72 hours it is about 58% effective.
