Is A Bump On Head Post A Hit A Cause For Concern?

When I was drunk I hit my head on concrete. Apparently there were no signs of a concussion and I haven t had any headaches or anything. It s been two weeks and the wounds have healed but I still have a bump where one of the cuts were. What should I do?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Well, bump remaining at the injury site even after 2 weeks is a matter of concern. It appears to be an encapsulated hematoma. If it gets infected, it could cause more problems.
Hence, you need to get examined by a Surgeon and undergo its excision-drainage. You do't have to worry about this procedure as it is minor and out-patient based. It will be performed under local anesthesia under aseptic precautions.
Kindly get the procedure done at the earliest.
Hope the information provided would be useful.
All the best.
