Is A Baseline Ekg Enough To Conclude I Have An Enlargedh Heart ?

I had a baseline ekg at the doctors office - he had me see a cariologist. the cardiologist did not do another ekg he just looked at the baseline and said it showed i have an enlarged heart and that i need a stress test and a heart ultrasound. I also had a ct scan done and they found aortic athertherosis change. i have hasimotos and cholesterol treated with prevestatin. it is taking 3 weeks to get into get the tests done and then another week to get in to get the results. i also have high anxiety with panic attacks and am very scared. why does it take so long to find out if anything is really wrong should i be worried?

Dear Sir/ Madam
Thanks for your query.
Yes, expert eyes can find signs of cardiac enlargement from ECG but it is not conclusive. It only provide indicators. Best method to detect heart enlargement is cardiac ultrasound or ECHO. A plain x ray of chest will also provide some information in these cases.
Sincerely
Sukhvinder
