Is Zifi Along With Paracetamol Advisable For An Infant With Cold?
Hello Doctor, My 3 month baby does not seem to be comfortable since yesterday. He is coughing and little hot too. Some time he cries and sound indicates that some trouble he is facing. As I think he is suffering from cold. Can I give him zifi 50 and paracetamol drops? What should be the dose for him. He is 6.2 Kg now.

Yes it is advisable to give zifi and paracetamol in children.
Following are the dose in your case:
1. Zifi 50 mg in two divided dose (Two times a day, 25 + 25 mg = 50 mg/day)
2. Paracetamol drop: if suspension is 100 mg/ml, 1-2 drop should be given every 4-6 hours
3. Instead you should give syrup cold rest (Paracetamol + cetrizine +pseudoephidrine ) for better relief, 2.5 ml two times a day.
