Is Zedex P The Appropriate Medicine For Cough With Phlegm Or Allergy Cough?

My 4 yr old gets recurrent cough .. which dr deduced to be allergic cough. Montek lc kid has been prescribed for 2 weeks, and dr said the same can be started whenevr similar cough occurs. For cough with phlegm, zedex p is to be used. My question.. wats the long term effect of these medicines? Wats the minimum gap i must have when giving these medicines in intervals..

Your 4 years old is having a recurring cough. I want a clarification, whether the child has cough since the months of age, or has started after one year of age.
If it started in the age of months it will go away at about the age of 4 or after.
If it started after the age of 1 year, the allergy may continue for life.
Montek L.C is a combination of the montelekost and levocitrizine which is used to prevent the frequent ricurrence of the cough. It is used for a long time to get the relief with no much side effects.
Zedex p is used to control the excess of cough, usually with an antibiotic, and for a short period of days.
You also can avoid the recurrance by avoiding the things which are allergic the the child, which usually are fruits, juices, sweats, fish, and sea foods.
