Is Tramadol A Schedule Drug ?

yes, i ve worked in pharmacy back in the 90 s and up till around 2005. when or is tramdol a schedule drugand if so when did this take place..i m asking because my mother recently passed from copd and was on this medication for quite some time..i was reading up on it and side effects, said not to take if you have breathing problems..the Dr s had prescribed this a couple of years ago and knowing her condition. i m well aware that most narcotics should be used with caution especially someone with copd and they had prescribed this 1-2 tablets po tid prn..can you explain. i m really sory, i did nt know you would charge me for a simple explanation.

tramadol is a narcotic like analgesic. Contraindicated inrespiratory problem Itcan cause convulsion. Should be used for mild to moderate pain. It should not betaken with other sedative and tranquiliser. If requered take second opinion and chahge the analgesic.
