Is Thyronorm Advisable For A TSH Level Of 4.1?

My TSH level is 4.1 . I am very skinny girl I am 20years old and my weight is 42kg. Doctor have prescribed me thyronorm 25mcg for 2weeks and thyronorm 50microgram tablet for 1month. But doesn t tell me what happened to me. For which disease I have prescribed these medicines???!???????

1. Normal range of TSH level is 0.4 - 4.0 mIU/L [and may vary from laboratory to laboratory] which means you are very likely to develop hypothyroidism [boderline hypothyroidism is there] and should be screened regularly [preferably by an Endocrinoilogist]

2. Regarding the dosage, I feel it is quite a large dose of thyroxine suggested to you and a clinical trial with 25 mcg along with dietary regime and lifestyle changes are initially sufficient to see whether it results in improvement, since the trial of thyroid medication can be done safely and later stopped
