Hello,

Thanks for writing to Health Care magic, I am Dr , Muhammad Ahmad , I have read your question closely, I understand your concern and will be helping you with your health related problem.

Due to hypertensive issues your ventricle would have got thickened and controlling hypertension is the best way to get it back to normal size. For this a group of drugs ACE inhibitors is used Thiapril is a member of this group itself.

The duration of therapy can be over years, it depends upon your response to the drug and improvement in your heart function and dimensions. Initially your doctor might give you a trial of 6 weeks adjusting doses and then he will look for the response. I would also advise you to modify your life for your benefit, take lesser salt and fat in your daily routine this will help you maintain your blood pressure on lower doses of medication and this will help you recover quick.

I will encourage you to educate yourself about what we call, DASH diet it is best diet to control blood pressure.

I hope this answered your question, If you have more queries I am happy to answer you.
Regards.

Dr.Muhammad Ahmad
