Hello, In may'11 my tsh report has been come 7. something. and in sept. report my tsh report came as 3. something. my doctor has suggest to take thyrowell. i am afraid to take this pills due to if habbit occur for future. Should i start this pills or my tsh level is normal ? pl. note that i had gone for tsh testing in sept. month at that time my periods are running. my age is 36 and my periods are regular. my weight is 75 kg and hight is 5'2".

Hello Welcome to HCM Thanks for posting your query in HCM.I understand your concern.Your lab reports are quite confusing.Without taking any medications your TSH levels have come down.But TSH level of 7 that you had in your first reading is quite high.
Normal levels of TSH level is less than 5 miu/ml.The reference range varies from lab to lab.
So,i would suggest you to repeat the test once more and confirm the correct levels.If it is high you need to take prescribed tablets.The proper dosage should be taken after consulting your treating doctor.
