Is Silverex The Right Medicine For Rashes On A Baby’s Buttocks?

Hi am raghani upadhayay. From Mumbai.my baby 8 months old .she got rash on her bum and looks as it s burn.but it came from rash.redness.doctor recommend sliverex .is it good for my baby Silver nitrate gel Ionic .plz reply asap as my baby still crying

Hi,
Thanks for the question.
Silverex cream usually used for burns and also for blisters due to sun burn.
Your physician recommended silverex because he might have thought it was burn.
But you have nothing to worry as silverex is a relatively safe medicine and it has got no serious adverse effects, you should avoid direct exposure to sunlight after the cream was applied as it may cause slight temporary tans on the body.
If you thing your baby have pain give paracetamol syrup according to her body weight.
I would recommend you to use calamine lotion or alovera lotion instead of silverex .
Do consult GP if her symptoms worsen.
