You can start taking Deriphyllin now as prescribed and its dosage can be reviewed after some time during your follow-up visits. Symbicort contains a combination of budesonide and formoterol. Budesonide is a locally acting steroid that reduces inflammation in the respiratory tract. Formoterol is a bronchodilator that relaxes muscles in the airways to improve breathing. It is a better combination when compared to using Salbutamol alone, as it is just has bronchodilator action. Hence, kindly continue with the medications as prescribed for time being.
