Is Prolia Safe To Take While On Wellbutrin?

While taking 10 mg compounded bupropion 2x daily, I was given a Prolia injection and immediately had a severe allergic reaction lasting at least a year and I am still not recovered 1 1/2 years later. (severe skin pain, muscle pain and finally getting better from skin pink prickling multiple sores on shoulders and calves.) The dr.who gave the Prolia injection said, I don t know what else you are taking. We never had that discussion before he quickly administered the shot. Since then, I decided to ask about Wellbutrin. I ve taken it since the 90 s in very small doses ( 10mg compounded 2x per day. Please advise. Thank you. Pat

Answer: There is no known interaction between Prolia and Wellbutrin.

One can have allergic reaction to any medications. So, it is important that you keep a record of the drugs you are allergic to.

Also, people can sometimes have unpredictable and unexplained reactions to a drug which can involve severe allergic reaction. This phenomenon is called idiosyncratic drug reaction.
