Is Primolut Safe In Stopping Periods?

Hey Doc! A question about Primolut. I m going on a vacation in January 2015. My period is very unpredictable and I wan t to be sure I don t have them during my vacation. I would like to eat the pills the previous month so that I wouldn t have to worry about any side effects during the vacation. Do you think it s wise or is there a possibility I ll still get the period during my vacation because of my unpredictable period?

Welcome to HCM and thanks for asking your question. I would like to tell you that primolut is usually taken to delay the periods in specific occasions.
So after taking primolut for few days, when you stop the drug, then withdrawal bleeding will occur within 2 days, no matter how irregular your cycle is.
Its absolutely safe to take primolut while you are on vacation and you can safely stop them after coming back to your home and you will have withdrawal bleeding within 2 days. So there will not be any possibilities of getting in period while on correct dosage of primolut.
