Is Novamox 500 Causing Stomach Pain And Diarrhea?
Hello, I am 24 years old female. I consulted a doctor because of stuffy and bleeding nose. He prescribed me Novamox 500. After taking that , I am suffering from stomach pain and diarrhea. It has been 24 hours that I stopped taking that medicine, but even now I am facing these side effects.

Surly novamox may cause the above said symptoms. Novamox is an antibiotic it causes the acidity & there by may lead to gastritis which may be reflected as stomach pain. It also cause change in the intestinal flora which may lead to loose stools.
To avoid above said symptoms you should take the novamox after having some food, along with that you should take antacid tablet such as omeprazole or rabeprazole two times a day before food.
it is also advisable to add foods such as curd buttermilk in diet.
And for dirroea you should also take the probiotic tablet along with novamox.
take plenty of oral fluids also.
