Hello,
Welcome and thanks for your query.
Nasonex is mometasone which is a topical steroid used for treatment of allergic rhinitis. Oxymetazoline is a nasal decongestant and when the its effect is over, it is well known to produce a rebound increase in congestion and causes you symptoms. When you spray it again, it decreases the congestion and helps you breathe again. Therefore it is not advisable to use Oxymetazoline continuously or more than a week. To be able to wean off , you may use an oral decongestant, if there are no contra indication, temporarily.
Take Care.
