General & Family Physician 's  Response
i think it is better to stop meftagesic and show your child to your family physician . your child may be suffering from a viral fever. platelet count will be reduced in viral fevers. meftagesic is a non steroid anti inflamatory drug which has anti platelet action. so if you are giving this to a child with a viral fever or dengue fever it increases the risk of bleeding. so stop the drug , show your child to family physician. you can use paracetamol correct dose for the fever. may need to do a full blood count as fever continous for 2 days.
