Is MCH Level Of 26 A Cause For Concern?

Hi doctor i just want to understand my blood tests that seem out of range and i wanted to check if its ok. First of all the Basophils it says it should be on a range from 20-100 but my result was 0, in the Urin test it says Microalbumin 30 so I d like to know what that is also, and MCH is 26 and its supposed to be on a range from 27-32. Can you please explain my results and if something is wrong ?

Hi. Sorry to hear about the problem faced by you. You have not provided the history and symptoms so it is not easier to make a diagnosis. So lets the discuss the investigations you are concerned about.
1. Basophills are the cells in blood that are involved in mostly in allergic reactions. And their count if less than the referance range is not something to worry about.
2. Albumin in urine is some thing to worry about. It shows that some thing wrong is going on with your kidneys and you need to see a nephrologist as soon as possible to get further worked up for a confirmative diagnosis of kidney pathalogy and according management to prevent the on going damage to the kidneys.
3. MCH is mean cell hemoglobin and low MCH shows that hemoglobin amount is less in your red blood cells and most common cause for it is usually iron deficiency. Also Kidney produces a harmone erythropoitin that promotes the production of hemoglobin and blood cells. In the case of kidney disease, erythropoitin production is decreased leading to decreased red cell production and decreased hemoglobin production.
