Is Levipil The Right Medication For Shivers And Fainting Spells?

Hi.. Sir/ ma am, My daughter is 15 yrs old. In the past one year she fainted once in the school assembly and thrice she got shivering and felt like her hands and legs are weak. She feels like her Back head is heavy at that time. I took her to a neurologist. Her ct scan was normal. Her eeg report show very little variations as doctor said. He has suggested livipril 500 one in the morning and one in the night. Will thus tablet cause any side effect. She is moving to 10 th std this year. Moreover she is feeling very tired after this shivering happens. Guide me please.

levipil is used for prevention as well as treatment of seizures.its dose in children depends on age,body weight and type of seizure.its side effects are somnolence, decreased energy, headache, dizziness, and coordination difficulties which are more in first month of treatment.Adverse neuropsychiatric symptoms, which are usually mild are agitation, hostility, apathy, anxiety, emotional lability, and depression. Serious psychiatric adverse side effects that are reversed by drug discontinuation include hallucinations, suicidal thoughts, or psychosis. These occurred mostly within the first month of therapy, but they could develop at any time during treatment.
To combat her problems you need to provide nutritious diet,habituate her to regular exercise like walking,dont make her run back of high grades in studies,just tell her to do her best and accept the result,keeping mind positive and regular intake of maintainance medication is required.
