Usually it start of show effect in 3-4 days if not completely controlled still some effect is usually there in 3-4 days, i would advise you not to panic this is how blood pressure medication is started, one starts with some medicine in moderate dose and see effect and then adds some other medication if blood pressure doesn t get controlled or start a combination pill, during all that time patient has to monitor blood pressure regularly, take regular medication, control his diet specially salt intake and reduce weight if he is overweight. I would suggest you not to panic just discuss the blood pressure readings with doctor so that he might know how the medication has affected. And what can be done further.
