Is IV Iron Treatment The Only Solution For Low Iron?
My mother in law has very low iron. Her doctor wants to give her an iv iron treatment once a week. She says the iron hurts her and refuses the treatments. She will agree to one every other week. Her doctor is upset with her and says the treatment my mother in law wants is not enough. How long can she survive without the treatment and what can we expect?

IV iron therapy is given for severe anemia and who do not tolerate oral iron therapy. Your mother in law might be having either of two condition. IV iron therapy is not painful. You can convince her, definitely she will agree and her health will improve and survive for long.
