Hi,
Thanks for using healthcare magic.
I have gone through your query.

Eliquis is the brand name of a newer anticoagulant drug (drugs used to prevent blood clot) called APIXABAN.
Apixaban is relatively safe when compared to older anticoagulants. It is well tolerated in elderly and no serious side effects is reported.
Since this drug prevent the formation blood clot there is a chance of excessive bleeding. As your mother has hemorrhoid problems there is a chance of developing this complication. So you should keep a eye on it.Do not use pain killers while you are on eliquis because pain killers increases the risk of bleeding.

Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
